Daily Show correspondent Michael Che tries to find a safe place to report from.
People about the new 3DS be like “Why the fuck is Nintendo making a new one?” but back then it was like
"Here’s three GBAs and two regular Gameboys"
Something for my feminist theory class.
I’d love to see the reactions to this from a crowd. I can kind of imagine a quiet, solemn understanding from the ladies and a lot of confused questions from the guys… If my memory of art school serves me.
In 9th grade English we read Laurie Halse Anderson’s “Speak”. For those of you who haven’t read it, the author makes it abundantly clear that the teenage protagonist, Melinda, was raped, before the protagonist actually says it.
Our English teacher asked the boys in the class what happened to Mel. They came up with the most ridiculous answers. Every girl in the class just knew.
This just goes to show…
Not all men menace women, but yes all women have felt menaced by a man.
Every girl understands this because every girl knows the fear implicit in this image.
A DASHCON BY ANY OTHER NAME WOULD STILL PROBABLY BE TERRIBLE.
Their new event (Emoti-Con) is
- Being run by at least one of the Dashcon admins (Cain Hopkins) despite their ‘explanation interview' being a total and monumental failure
- A lot of the text on the Emoti-Con website is taken straight from the Dashcon Facebook page
- The date and venue set for Emoti-Con 2015 is exactly the same as initially set for Dashcon 2015
- The Indianapolis Convention Centre now has the details for Emoti-Con 2015 but still links to the now-defunct Dashcon website
And it’s absolutely hilarious.
what’s even the point of this
at least dashcon 2015 would have had the attraction value of an infamous name
